Laboratory measurement systems for measuring the color (L*a*b*) of plastic recyclates and plastic flakes.

Recyclates and plastic flakes can produce significant color variations, as the outcome of the recycling process depends on the varying quality of the plastics added to it and the sorting procedure.

The SPECTRO-LAB-SYSTEM recognizes color value drifts precisely and in time. The color value L*a*b* and its deviations dL*da*db* including the dE value are displayed in numerical fashion. The dL*da*db* values are displayed on the screen graphically as a trend display of the last 100 recorded values. The system also enables saving of the measured values and print out of the color values including information e.g. about the recyclate designation and the date and time of the granulate sample taken.
